Zendesk Rolls Out Major Updates Throughout 2025 and 2026

Zendesk has released significant updates across its platform between June 2025 and March 2026, with major focus areas including expanded AI capabilities, enhanced security controls, and improved automation features. Key changes include the rollout of Copilot generative AI writing tools at no extra cost for Suite and Support Professional plans (five uses per agent per month), mandatory authentication for private end-user attachments (effective 28 April 2026), automatic enablement of AI agent tickets by default on specific pods (with opt-out until 4 May 2026), and the introduction of pre-approved actions in auto assist to improve agent productivity without manual approval. Administrators should prioritise reviewing and implementing the new spelling and grammar checker for ticket replies, configuring data masking for custom roles on Enterprise plans, updating legacy custom object exports before the July 2026 sunset deadline, and assessing the redesigned Premier support plan which now includes a Technical Account Manager and enhanced consulting services.
