Sunshine Conversations API faces outages and scheduled maintenance across multiple pods

WhatsApp attachments including images and audio failed to transmit through Sunshine Conversations across all pods on 20 January 2026 from 13:48 to 16:29 UTC due to a third-party service issue, with a fix deployed within two hours restoring normal functionality for new messages. Affected attachments sent during the outage could not be recovered and must be resent by end-users; Zendesk has implemented monitoring improvements and is reviewing duplicate-message prevention logic to prevent similar incidents.
