Announcing the removal of the Help panel from accounts with admin copilot

Zendesk

Zendesk is retiring the Help panel from Suite Professional and Suite Enterprise accounts that have Admin Copilot enabled, effective 18 June 2026. The Help panel—a contextual sidebar providing feature guidance and setup resources—will be completely removed for these tiers, whilst remaining available for customers without Admin Copilot. This consolidation reflects Zendesk's strategic decision to replace static help documentation with its conversational AI assistant, which delivers contextualised support directly within the product interface and surfaces the Help Center sources underpinning its responses.

The move signals a broader industry shift toward embedding AI-driven assistance into core workflows rather than maintaining parallel help systems. For administrators in Professional and Enterprise accounts, this represents a forced migration from on-demand reference materials to conversational discovery—a change that assumes Admin Copilot's contextual understanding and source transparency adequately replaces the Help panel's browsable structure. The critical question for CX leaders is whether this consolidation improves or degrades the onboarding and troubleshooting experience for admins who may prefer scanning structured documentation over conversational queries, particularly during complex multi-step configurations where context switching between copilot responses and implementation work proves friction-heavy.

The tiered rollout—removing the panel only for Professional and Enterprise accounts—also reveals Zendesk's confidence in Admin Copilot's maturity for higher-tier customers whilst hedging against potential adoption friction by preserving the Help panel for lower-tier accounts. This creates a support experience divergence that CX teams should monitor closely: as Admin Copilot becomes the de facto help mechanism for larger deployments, the quality and reliability of its responses will directly impact admin productivity and satisfaction, making copilot performance a critical operational metric rather than a convenience feature.
